Tips for buying Security Cameras in Ft. Worth, TX

Most residents of Ft. Worth understand that crime is an everyday occurrence. It can happen to anyone at any time and the level of severity varies. Protect yourself, your family, and your property with a security camera system.

Ft. Worth isn't a particularly dangerous city but, like any other city, it has a crime element. As a resident of Ft. Worth, I chose to take an extra step to ward of criminals from my home and business by installing a surveillance system. I started with a cheap, entry-level security system and thought it would be sufficient... if nothing else, they'd act as dummy cameras.

A few month later, my business (a used car dealership) was vandalized.  I was livid. I checked the camera footage on my DVR and there was nothing. The vandals had snipped the wires of my cameras. There was one shot of a suspect at a distance but the camera's resolution was too poor to identify anything. I learned two things from this. 1. Vandals and criminals in general, are smart. 2. The cheap security cameras aren't worth the time or money.

I started from scratch and researched everything I could find about surveillance equipment. I learned everything from IR cameras to PTZ cameras to vandal resistant cameras. As I crawled the internet there were a few sources in particular that helped, in particular, the surveillance advisers at CCTVSecurityPros.com. I called them with a simple question about a camera in their inventory and it turned into a full blown lesson on security camera installation and more. Of course, I bought my system through them.

A few days later I received my sweet new security system. I followed some instructions and remembered the tips from the guy I spoke with at CCTVSecurityPros.com. I got a vandal resistant setup so I won't have to worry about snipped wires or spray painted lenses. I was ready for war and I was pretty much praying those vandals would strike again.

As fate would have it, I've been 100% vandal free since I purchased that setup. It's been about 2 years. I'm not sure if it's because the cameras I have are a deterrent or if its because the crime in my area has dropped. Either way, I'm a happy owner of a nice security camera system and pleased that I don't have to make any more insurance claims and police reports.
